Our story

DAS OKAY starts with my parents. I can still hear my Mom saying "Das Okay" when I struck out to end a baseball game, or my Dad saying "Das Okay" when I got my first speeding ticket. It was their unique way of saying, "Don't worry, everything will be alright."
My Mother born in Malacatoya, Nicaragua, and raised in the beautiful colonial city of Granada. My Father born in the capital of Managua and growing up to be a tinkerer of motorcycles and cars.
That simple phrase has stuck with me. Now, I use it not just for comfort, but to celebrate moments of joy and victory. When my team gets a point—whether it's a touchdown, a goal, or a run—I shout, "DAS OKAY!"
The name DAS OKAY is a nod to my parents’ beautiful accents. Coincidentally, it's also my initials: David Anthony Salgado. It's a way to honor them and to share a little piece of my story with you.
We are a family-owned business from uncles to daughters who all contribute to spreading the spirit of DAS OKAY. We all want you know that that life will take you for a loop but DAS OKAY to enjoy the ride.

Mission

Honoring my parents, my roots in Nicaragua and my own journey, DAS OKAY is a brand that celebrates resilience and joy. We champion the spirit of perseverance, turning "don't worry" into a powerful shout of victory.
